We are on a mission to become the one-stop real time simulation platform for power conversion systems.

Debiprasad Panda, PhD, the president and CTO founded URTPC in 2015. While working for GE Aviation as a Sr. Staff Engineer, he recognized that the simulators available on the market were not conducive to what he and his team needed. They needed to be able to model and analyze how the various components would perform when integrated so that they could validate compatibility and ensure system performance was optimized. Without those capabilities he saw projects lag and enthusiasm wane.

With URTPC we aim to help companies sustain enthusiasm and create more reliable, safer, efficient products that get to market faster. URTPC aims to be a one-stop solution that will analyze electrical, power electronics and electromagnetic components, control system, thermal, structural and electromagnetic operating parameters. We solve today’s power electronic system simulation issues with technology that employs FEA and FDA methods and faster step size circuit simulators in real time. Our groundbreaking real-time physics-based simulators will replicate the world’s more complex systems by simulating more components simultaneously to support system level interoperability study.

Leadership

Debiprasad Panda, PhD, President, Founder and Owner

Debriprasad has over 25 years of experience in new product development and commercialization and created GE Aviation’s real time simulation lab for developing model-based system integration of aircraft power systems. He was a Senior Principal Engineer at Rockwell Automation Advanced Technology lab where he was part of a team that successfully developed and tested a 1,000HP superconducting motor. At Trans Coil International he developed a 100KVAR and a 225KVAR active filter system from inception to commercialization. He conducted research on wind energy and electrical vehicle projects at UW Madison with Prof. Thomas Lipo.

Dr. Panda has been involved in projects with the National Science Foundation, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Department of Energy, and the Office of Naval Research.

Larry Wells, MBA, Business Development Officer

Larry has co-founded three technology companies and has worked for multinational companies such as General Electric and Toshiba. He has successfully managed the development and commercial launch of over 40 technology products ranging from software to $3M magnetic resonance imaging systems.
